Our Little Dove Chocolate Snatcher

So at Grandma's birthday party last Sunday, they had a table set up with all types of bread desserts, dove chocolates, hot cider, etc. Well...check out this little chocolate snatcher. Samantha walked up to the table and looked around to make sure nobody was watching. She then grabbed a dove chocolate and stuffed it in her pocket. She walked in a circle, looked around to make sure nobody was looking again and did the same thing...over and over and over again! It was hilarious! We were all watching her, but she didn't know it. It didn't happen just a few times. When we got home that night, I told Steve that Samantha had a present for him in her pockets. He reached into her pockets and started pulling out melted dove chocolates. What was the final tally? She had given one away to Uncle Kent, one to Aunt Sue, eaten six or seven and still had twelve melted chocolates that Daddy pulled out! It was so funny! I guess she is learning at an early age that chocolate is a girl's best friend.

Grandma's 80th Birthday Party

Here are some great photos from Grandma Peery's 80th Birthday Party courtesy of Aunt Joan! Thanks for helping me get these on our blog! It was such a special day and time to be with Grandma & Grandpa, as well as the rest of the family. Only time moves on to the next scene, memories remain a part of the heart forever.
Grandma had been talking about how she wished I would've recorded the song I sang at my mission homecoming cause she loved it so much. I surprised her by singing and recording ten hymns/songs for her in Spanish. It was such a special gift. We both had tears in our eyes as we listened to it! I am so grateful for such an amazing Grandma. I love her to pieces!

Princess Leah

My mom & me. Dad says we look like Princess Leah.
Aren't I so grown-up?
You know, I still haven't figured out how to smile without squinting one eye!

Have I got you wrapped around my finger yet?

So each day when I get ready, I ask Samantha if she wants her hair done and she always says,"Samantha hair done too." When I ask her how she wants me to do it, she always says, "Samantha wear piggies!" or "Samantha wear bouncy balls!" (Meaning she wants her hair in messy buns.) It's hilarious! It's so much fun watching her learn to talk and the vocabulary she is picking up! If someone would've told me that children were such great entertainment, I don't think I would've believed them. Maybe we should consider having another one soon. :O)

Happy Happy Birthday! Can't believe I'm 27!

Yesterday Steven and I went and bought a new digital camera for my birthday today! Can you believe it? We finally broke down and bought a digital camera. We took our old film dependent camera to the company trip in San Francisco last month and realized...hey...it's really time to move on and leave the old school camera behind. 48 exposures and we were all done, but there was SO much more to take pictures of (and see) while we were there. Thanks Steven! We finally have a nice digital camera with 10 megapixels, 12x optimal zoom and a 2.7'' LCD screen. I love it! Here's a couple of pictures to put on display our amazing skills with the camera. Did any of you know that we really have twins? Samantha & Luci (fer). Little Luci is the one that is always digging in my purse. What a little devil!

My Hubby Messing Around

This is what happens when we leave our husbands ALONE for too long!

My New Calling

So...my new calling in church is to put together a photo directory for the ward and run around like a chicken with my head cut off trying to get in contact with families who will let me take a cheesy picture of them like this one! So far I have been told to "print the *%(^&# thing without me in it" and some of the comments I get from people are hilarious! It's a picture folks! Half of us look the same when we take the time to get ready as we do when we just wake up! Look at the camera, smile, and say cheese! No one will know if you got ready or not but you! Right?

Sleeping Beauties

Steven & Samantha were watching Meet the Robinsons tonight after we got home from grocery shopping and they both crashed! They are both snoring! Like daddy...like daughter! She is such a daddy's girl! Wonder what they're dreaming about? I need to get to bed too.

So Grateful

I was sitting here working and all of a sudden I had a minor breakdown. I must be hormonal or something because out of nowhere I started tearing up just from thinking about how grateful I am to have such an amazing life, an unbelievable husband and beautiful baby girl. God has blessed me with such an amazing life and I am so grateful that I am able to work from home through Primerica and enjoy every day with Samantha by my side. She has truly become my little sidekick and I love her so much! Thank you Cherie Bone for having the courage to talk to us about the business and helping us to make the decision that has changed our lives forever! We will always be grateful! :O)

Did I do that?

I can't believe I am up at 2:45 in the morning and have decided to start blogging. I thought I would never do it! Well...I haven't been writing in my journal, so this is the next best thing right? Looking good Samantha! Aren't you glad she grew out of those glasses? Ha ha!
